<description>Addiction is in general a symptom not a disease in itself. There is so much to be learned from drug of choice and how it makes the person feel. Methamphetamine addicts for example tend to either be Bipolar or AD/HD and the deciding factor is whether or not the person can sleep on the drug. People who have a more classic reactions tend to be bipolar. While bipolar treatment is difficult and complicated I can guarantee you that there are better medications than Methamphetamine. In the case of AD/HD Meth relaxes the person and allows them to function - not surprising since AD/HD medications tend to be stimulants. Problem with meth is that it is illegal and it is terribly toxic to the brain.
